HOLE #1

Par 4
Handicap: 11 (men), 13 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  410    390    360    341    276    276

Straight away par four into the prevailing wind. Left centre ideal for the drive. Second shot from 150 yards to a green that is farther than it looks and slopes left to right. Tough first hole.

HOLE #2

Par 4
Handicap: 9 (men), 11 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  395    370    360    336    314    249

Considered easiest par four on the front nine due to the prevailing wind. Water on the left comes into play as does sand bunkers at the driving area. Two-tiered green makes pin placement key to putting.

Dorion 3 photo

Dorion course HOLE #3

HOLE #3

Par 5
Handicap: 3 (men), 3 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  565    540    525    514    461    360

Long par five with dog leg left. A 3-shot par five to an elevated green that slopes severely from back to front. Better to stay below the pin to putt uphill.

Dorion 4 photo

HOLE #4

Par 4
Handicap: 7 (men), 5 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  410    385    370    344    334    261

The longest 385-yd hole one the course. Almost always into the wind. Makes wide driving area seem a little narrower. Not many birdies here!

Par 4
Handicap: 1 (men), 1 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  415    395    380    380    350    290

A very picturesque and tough hole. 90 degree dogleg right. 225 yds off the tee will put you in perfect position for a 175-yd second shot to a well-bunkered 2-tier green that has a very narrow entrance. Lots of bogeys and doubles!

Par 3
Handicap: 15 (men), 15 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  295    175    160    135    135    135

Beautiful par 3 over a deep gulley to slightly elevated 2-tiered green. Swirling winds make for a tough club selection.

HOLE #7

Par 4/5
Handicap: 5 (men), 7 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  430    415    395    379    400    400

Longest of the par 4s, but usually plays downwind. A bunker and a tree guard the right side, while a bunker 25 yds short of the green gives the illusion the hole is shorter than it actually is.

Par 3
Handicap: 17 (men), 17 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  195    175    155    131    131    131

Par 3 that plays longer than it looks. Honest par 3. Lots of pars here.

Par 5
Handicap: 13 (men), 19 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  517    499    488    459    445    355

Good par 5 that doglegs left at 250 yds. Approach to well-bunkered green. Birdies made here to lull you to the back nine.

Par 4
Handicap: 6 (men), 12 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  397    375    360    332    300    300

Good driving hole with bunkers on both sides of the fairway. Short iron second shot to well-bunkered green. Definite birdie possibility.

Par 5
Handicap: 14 (men), 4 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  543    512    501    482    429    370

Dogleg left. Drive should be right of the fairway bunker. If hit with a draw, the green is reachable in two. Green is well-bunkered! Tree-lined fairway, most trouble is to the left.

Par 4
Handicap: 2 (men), 2 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  375    351    334    309    295    295

Very picturesque and tough. Elevated tee with creek running across the fairway that sits in a valley. No driver here. Long iron to 150 yard marker. Second shot to elevated green that is very sloped from back to front. If past the pin, very difficult to make four. No gimmies on this green

Par 3
Handicap: 18 (men), 18 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  182    150    130    113    113    113

Relatively short par three with 2-tiered green. Left to right wind makes a left side upper pin placement extremely difficult. Avoid left of green.

Par 5
Handicap: 8 (men), 10 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  467    455    442    430    414    339

A short par five with a lake in front. A good drive will certainly give an eagle opportunity. Crowned green makes it difficut to get close to the pin.

Par 4
Handicap: 10 (men), 6 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  375    350    350    320    310    237

Tight driving hole well bunkered on both sides. Short iron second shot to narrow green with deep bunkers. Look for birdies here.

Par 4
Handicap: 16 (men), 14 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  400    355    340    316    274    274

Dogleg left with lots of bunkers protecting the left side. Crowned green makes back right pin placement the most difficult.

Par 3
Handicap: 12 (men), 16 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  212    178    158    128    128    128

Beautiful par three and very, very intimidating. 210 yards all over water with railway ties fronting the green. Should see right front pin placement. Lots of balls have been hit into this lake. A three is a good score here.

Par 4
Handicap: 4 (men), 8 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  415    379    350    337    300    300

Tight landing area off the tee with traps on right and huge lake on left. Depending on carry-overs, may see layups off the tee. Second shot with tailwind to slightly elevated, relatevely hard green. Good finishing hole.

YARDAGE
  173    153    133    125    100    100

YARDAGE
  526    509    489    432    427    422

Long par five that doglegs slightly right at driving area. Well trapped all the way on the right side. must play the hole left centre for a clear third shot to a crowned green.

Par 4
Handicap: 5 (men), 9 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  435    409    379    335    335    269

Considered the toughst hole on this nine. Long par four into the wind. Fairly wide driving area with a trap on right side. Ball driven left makes this hole longer as it doglegs slightly right. Long second shot to a well bunkered green.

Cascades 6 photo

HOLE #6

Par 4/5
Handicap: 1 (men), 3 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  444    415    386    380    375    375

A gambler's hole. A par 5 with a tight driving area. Traps left and trees that jut out make the right cernter the place to be. A good tee shot will allow you to gamble with your second shot over a deep gulley. A definite advantage for the long hitter. Green is two-tiered which makes the putting difficult.

Par 3
Handicap: 17 (men), 15 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  195    170    148    127    127    127

A very well bunkered par three. Must carry ball to the green. Difficult to make three.

YARDAGE
  420    397    395    350    342    287

Good driving hole with traps protecting right side. Narrow landing area. Second shot to crowned green makes it difficult to get close in two. Tricky putting.

Par 5
Handicap: 9 (men), 1 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  494    474    439    411    368    318

For long hitters, the lake on the right comes into play on the drive. Water on right from 190 yards to green. Slightly elevated crowned green makes for difficult approach shot but birdies are very possible if you stay below the pin.

YARDAGE

YARDAGE
  550    530    503    431    431    431

Drive is the key. Second shot is uphill to a very narrow entrance. A three shot par five.

Handicap: 18 (men), 12 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  328    310    290    281    277    200

Short, but not easy. Tight driving hole with undulating green that makes it difficult to get close to flag. Definite birdie possibility.

YARDAGE
  385    365    350    327    282    282

90 degree dogleg right. 230 yards off the tee will put you in perfect position for a second shot over water. Flat green could produce birdies.

YARDAGE
  408    390    378    362    323    275

Tight driving hole out of chute. Difficult second shot to a long, narrow green. Front pin placement is most difficult.

YARDAGE
  164    147    137    122    122    122

YARDAGE
  423    378    360    293    285    285

Considered toughtest hole on this nine. Difficult driving hole. Tee shot must be left middle to get clear shot at pin. Overhanding trees left and right fronting the green.

HOLE #17

Par 5
Handicap: 12 (men), 8 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  577    540    506    462    432    375

Wide driving area. Second shot hit to slight dogleg left with bunkers at landing area. Even at this lenght, long hitters could be putting for eagle.

Cascades 18 photo

Cascades course HOLE #18

Cascades course
HOLE #18

Par 4
Handicap: 8 (men), 18 (ladies)

YARDAGE
  405    393    370    347    238    238

Dogleg left. Tee shot hit slightly right will be blocked by trees. Undulating green makes the pin placement a factor. Birdie should win this hole.
